Humanitarian intervention

Appears Spain.France and co are discussing for a middle east peace deal...

Obviously we 'Muslims' are dead against all these foreign male (even female) chauvinists playing psuedo lord role....

read these articles interesting...http://mondediplo.com/2006/03/02islam
http://www.cair-net.org/html/911statements.html

what does Islam say with regards to this, are they really humanitarian intervention or a means of them conforming our Muslim brothers and sisters to the kuffr way of life 'puppet regime' who are the rulers?, how do they go about in these acts... ? arent they carried out via savage wars killing civilians...? arent these civilians then made redundent under the haven of the 'world trade bank'?

[4.77] Have you not seen those to whom it was said: Withhold your hands, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate; but when fighting is prescribed for them, lo! a party of them fear men as they ought to have feared Allah, or (even) with a greater fear, and say: Our Lord! why hast Thou ordained fighting for us? Wherefore didst Thou not grant us a delay to a near end? Say: The provision of this world is short, and the hereafter is better for him who guards (against evil); and you shall not be wronged the husk of a date stone.

The Veil

Iam sure we are all aware of the current climax concerning the veil...when we debate over such religious customs it is often wise to quote and acknowledge the authenticity of their observation.
The veil isnt fardh...nevertheless as we will later on see the necessity of such an material the Ulema (religious body of scholars) may use ijtihad (legal ruling) to come to an consensus making it compulsory...Thus it is wrong for any us to make fatwas saying it isnt fardh therefore no need to practise it...it is undermining what the learnt people have agreed upon...and it is better for various reasons (again will be elaborated upon later on)
Iam not shocked by Jack Straws comment...because democracy is open to much discussion on the definition of the term...and its been argued there are limitation of participation (within democracy) and one point is that 'the boundary beyond which legitimate opposition should not be made' I believe that is clear cut?

Islam did not invent the head cover. However, Islam did endorse it. The Quran urges the believing men and women to lower their gaze and guard their modesty and then urges the believing women to extend their head covers to cover the neck and the bosom:

"Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty......And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what ordinarily appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms...." (Quran 24:30,31).

The Quran is quite clear that the veil is essential for modesty, but why is modesty important? The Quran is still clear:

"O Prophet, tell your wives and daughters and the believing women that they should cast their outer garments over their bodies (when abroad) so that they should be known and not molested" (Quran 33:59).
This is the whole point, modesty is prescribed to protect women from molestation or simply, modesty is protection. Thus, the only purpose of the veil in Islam is protection.
The Islamic veil, unlike the veil of the Christian tradition, is not a sign of man's authority over woman nor is it a sign of woman's subjection to man. The Islamic veil, unlike the veil in the Jewish tradition, is not a sign of luxury and distinction of some noble married women. The Islamic veil is only a sign of modesty with the purpose of protecting women, all women. The Islamic philosophy is that it is always better to be safe than sorry.
In fact, the Quran is so concerned with protecting women's bodies and women's reputation that a man who dares to falsely accuse a woman of unchastity will be severely punished:

"And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations)- Flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors" (Quran 24:4)

It is only wise to think before we speak...but then again i suppose those who speak before they think...dont have much to lose...

peace to you all

Pope Benedict

Well im sure we all have read and heard the quote read out by the Pope...
now watching the news from all over the world...Pope Benedict has apologised by saying it wasnt something he said but rather from another source ...nevertheless...'why did he even say it? was it an justification for some point/issue? was there any need for the quote to be read out? why not another quote if the 'pope' really wanted to put the Muslim in the so called good light...as we have often seen western academics do in the most articulate fashion....aherm...

The Muslims yes have every right to speak out against such satanic statements...BUT burning churches? killing 'nun' what has that got to do with what the pope said? shouldnt he be the one brought to accountability...arent 'some' of the Muslims taken this issue rather extremely? making it worse then it already is?

Authentic materials have said any unlawful bantor targeted toward the prophet pbuh is punishable by death...come on people not some random nun in Sudan....the pope said it not the rest of the Christian community!

Does zionism have any relation to Judaism?

Zionism has taken a great deal of time on centre stage of the world and because of its theft of Palestinian land which was handed to the zionist from the British Colonlialist who themselves had stolen it.
Zionism in order to justify its imperial designs has utlised or hijacked or taken hostage the Jewish faith.
I want to state for the record that Muslims or Arabs or anyone should never be anti-semitic towards Jewish people for any reason and especially because of zionism.Zionism is not the Judiac faith.
It is a secular movement that has radicaly shifted towards fascism in order to keep a grip on power and at the same time has used Judaism as shield to deflect criticism.
This movement was created by a man who himself was and athiest but happened to have Jewish linege.
Islam has high moral threshold with which it requires its followers to uphold and that sense of justice is so important that Muslims are expected to implement justice even against our ownselves.
So just as we accept that terorrist have hijacked the good name of Islam and muslims with which they commit violence we urge people to understand that is not Islam.
Despite the media giving so much attention to people like OBL these guys we say do not represent orthodox Islam.
Nowthe same is true for our dear friends and cousins the Jewish people, their faith and their identity has been hijacked, and there are many jewish people out there who try to make it clear zionism does not represent them and they are not being heard. We must hear their voices. Muslims must not be anti-semitic and must struggle only against the political movement of zionism.
This movement that is spreading evil LIES trying to convince the Jewish people that Muslims wish to wipe out Jewish people and is sowing hatred and violence, zionism is doing this to feed its own existence, we must not let this continue to happen.
History testfies that over whelmingly Jewish people lived for hundreds of years with muslims in safety and security.Genocide of Jewish people has always been characteristic of European Nations never of Islamic nations, so this lie the zionist are spreading is disgusting beyond belief and seeks to tarnish Islam ideals. The nazis were not muslims!
They were from Europe. The Inquistion was not undertaken by Muslims it was European.
The massacres in Palestine were never commited by Muslims but by the crusades. And the problem in Palestine today has not been created by Muslims but by British Colonialists and the zionist movement both forms of Imperialism.finally to give clarity to anyone who still has doubts please read the following:

Zionism, Israel Threat To Peace: Rabbi WeissProtest Trying to make his voice heard, after repeatedly being hushed by the Zionist-controlled media,
Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss asserted in a three-hour live dialogue with IslamOnline.net audience on Monday, August 25, that can be no true peace "as long as Zionism and the state of Israel exist."

"The tremendous injustice that is being done to the Palestinian people, which we cannot elaborate because of the space and time limit, subjugation, expulsion, pain, suffering, etc of the Palestinians, is all against the true roots and basics of Judaism,"
said rabbi Weiss.

He asserted that all

"Jewish religious people feel and suffer with the Palestinian suffering no matter what type, Chasidus (ultra Orthodox) or not."

Asked how he sees the Israeli government of Ariel Sharon, Weiss said that Sharon and his cabinet have nothing to do with true Judaism

"because of its heresy and its tremendous cruelty."
Sharon and his government and for that matter the whole Zionist entity are rejected from the Jewish nation and Judaism,"

said the rabbi, a leading figure of Neturei Karta, an organization within the Orthodox Jewish community which is dedicated to representing the hundreds of thousands of Orthodox Jews around the world.

He also lashed out at the Israeli policy of bringing the Jewish diaspora from the four corners of the world to the Palestinian territories, noting it ran counter to the truce Torah "which waits for God's ruling over the world and the end of this exile, which God Himself will do without any human intervention.

"According to Weiss, a Talmud instructor, Jews "are forbidden to take any action to make the end of exile come to pass, especially the Zionists'

way which is through atrocity and evil decrees and subjugation of another people without right and expulsion of another nation.

"This is especially abhorrent and against God."

Heretical ZionismWeiss drew a clear line of separation between Judaism and Zionism, regretting that

"Jews have been misled by the tremendous power of the propaganda machine of Zionism."

"Zionists have gripped control of the media, and through the media, confused and integrated the Torah into the Zionist belief. With false interpretations of verses of the Torah, they have confused the truth of the Torah,"

he stressed. The rabbi, a distinguished speaker and lecturer on Zionism, said that the

"forefathers of Zionism were known atheists and heretics and the whole ideology of Zionism is a heretical ideology and rebellion against God."

They created a state which rejected the acceptance of the Torah that the Jewish nation had accepted on Mount Sinai, and they ignored the whole Jewish religion.

"Weiss said that Neturei Karta, views Palestine as "a Godliness and a holy land no matter under whose rule it is. It is no difference under which country or rule Palestine is."

"The Zionists, on the other hand, come to the issue of Palestine as a physical military entity and as an issue of materialistic national entity similar to how other nations reached their power through military victory,"

elaborated the expert.Putting it in a nutshell, rabbi Weiss said :

"Judaism is a Godliness, Zionism is materialism. Zionists try to clothe their materialism in the cloth of religion, but it is false and criminal."He also agreed that the Zionist entity and the state of Israel "

according to the Torah

" were doomed to perish, noting that "the explosion of the punishment to this rebellion is expected at any time."

"We pray that the end of the State of Israel should come about speedily with God's compassion without any bloodshed or suffering for any human being."

IntimidationWeiss further argued that there is

"a vast segment"

of Jews all over the world, and particularly in the U.S., who

"are silent in their opposition"

to the Zionist octopus, because of the

"intimidation of Zionism."

He also said that Neturei Karta exposed this intimidation through its website.

"According to our knowledge, a great percentage of Jews have given up on the whole Zionist ideology. They simply have a problem of how to become free of this monster,"

said the rabbi.A majority of religious Israeli parties in the Knesset, according to him, are forced to join the political scene only to

"save Judaism."

"Most religious schools do not have an Israeli flag hanging over their building, do not celebrate Israeli independence day, and most important, do not send their children to the Israeli army and do not study modern Hebrew,"

Weiss said.He continued:

"We find the Orthodox Jewish parties and members at the Knesset joined the Israeli government not because they held the view of the legitimacy of the Zionist state but rather in opposition to the Zionist state they were guided by certain Jewish Rabbis and leaders to join the Israeli government to be able to in someway gain rights to the Orthodox community and to be able to fight Zionism from within the Zionist state."

One of the founders of Agudat Israel party, Yitchak Maier Levine said when he joined the Knesset:

"I am going into a lion's den,"

Weiss recalled.Judaism & IslamThe Talmud instructor also tried to dust off the portrait of true Jews that has always been penciled out by the Zionist media and stand up to the never-ending anti-Muslim campaign to tarnish the true image of Islam.
He touched on the most thorny issue to all Muslims and Jews alike:
Al-Aqsa Mosque or in "Zionist" terminology "The Temple Mount."

Weiss made it clear that the Zionists' attempts to pull down the holiest place is a

"tragedy and a cardinal criminal offense."

"We are in total opposition to the Zionists views of the destruction of Al-Aqsa mosque. Who knows what horrific results could come from this? It is clearly forbidden according to the Torah and the rabbinical authorities."

In 1929 the head Rabbi of Palestine and Jerusalem, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonenfeld of blessed memory sent a letter to the Heads of Islamic community in Jerusalem declaring that the Jewish people have no want or interest to take anything which is under the Islamic ownership.
And in fact he was referring to the Jews praying at the Western wall,"

Weiss explained.

"In the Jewish religion, there is no bias to the Muslims or their religion, and we don't know of a bias of the Jews to the Muslims. We know that the Muslim people and Islam are not in opposition to the Jewish people or their religion, and vice versa,"
he acknowledged.

Weiss hoped that the Muslim community will help his movement to spread their

"message of peace."

"This will sanctify God's name, bring peace and harmony between the Jews and the Muslims and will succeed in squashing the concept that the Muslims are somehow anti-Semitic by clarifying the truth that the conflict is between the political movement called Zionism, and that it has nothing to do with Judaism or the Jewish people,"
he rabbi Weiss averred.

He concluded also by hoping that Jews around the world would come to realize the "true old Jewish traditions and beliefs."

BBC Question Time - Melanie Phillips

I dont know if anyone watched question time last night but that mad Mel really is not very clever.

I made a complaint to BBC:

Iam disgusted at Melanie Phillips comment that the killing of all palestinians could be justified on the grounds that they had elected a government "committed to a genocidal project". its deeply shocking how such an well known figure of such reputation and status could be so darn SICK! makes her no better then those who do kill innocent people! am saddened BBC1 even invites people like her, just alienating BBC1 from its Muslim viewers!

Slap on the cheek or not?

I have no problems with the Jewish community, as long as their not occupying a nations land/territory....I respect them fully for being the people of the book...

Now One must admit one of the worst case of humanitarian crisis is taking place in Palestine or should i say the 'occupied state of Palestine'

The Red Cross is suppose to be a neutral body, which acknowledges these ^^^ crisis...so why are they giving Israel a upper hand by admitting them in????

A SLAP ON THE CHEEKS OF THE INNOCENT PALESTINIAN KIDS (seem to be the latest trend to cleanse away) ELDERLY.....WHO HAVE BEEN MARTYERED IN 'THEIR OCCUPIED LAND' BECAUSE IT SUITED THE ZIONIST PIG HEADS TO CREATE A HOLY LAND?????

Or would I be regarded as an conspiracy thirsty person to say, The Red Cross is another puppet of the over lords?

Red Cross votes to admit Israel

The new non-religious symbol can be used anywhere it is neededThe Red Cross humanitarian movement has voted by a large majority to admit Israel, ending decades of isolation.
The Magen David Adom (Red Star of David) has sought membership since the 1930s, but it objected to using the traditional cross or crescent symbols.
The breakthrough came with approval of a third emblem, the Red Crystal, to identify relief and emergency workers.
A vote was held after Muslim states opposed Israel's membership over the status of land it occupied in 1967.
The same meeting of the international Red Cross and Red Crescent movement in Geneva approved membership for the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC).
It had been excluded because the statutes only allow relief societies from sovereign states to join, but the rule was specifically modified to include the PRC.
It is hoped that the move to upgrade both societies from observer status will help engender better co-operation, say Red Cross officials.
It comes amid a worsening of the situation in the Israeli-occupied territories, with three botched Israeli missile strikes in Gaza killing 13 Palestinian civilians in the last 10 days.
Two-thirds majority
The Red Cross and Red Crescent conference in Geneva had hoped for a universal consensus on Israel's admission, but the agreement almost collapsed when Syria raised objections over Israel's role in the occupied Golan Heights.
RED CROSS EMBLEMS

Used in conflict zones to protect medics and civil defence teams
Original symbol, reverse of Swiss flag, adopted in 1864
Red Crescent first used by Ottoman Empire in 1870s; formally recognised in 1929; used by 33 of 185 RC societies
Red Crystal can be used alone or in combination with recognised symbolsThe issue was then put to a vote, in which 237 states and societies voted for the changes, with 54 voting against and 18 abstaining.
This gave the necessary two-thirds majority to modify the movement's statute and allow the change of emergency relief symbols.
An amendment demanding that the movement's rules apply to all the occupied territories - putting them under Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian responsibility - was also rejected.
Correspondents say the Red Cross traditionally tries to work by consensus and to avoid potentially bruising ballot box confrontations among members.
The chair of the American Red Cross, Bonni McElveen-Hunter, said it would now pay about $45m in dues it has withheld since 2000 because of Israel's exclusion.
'Crusader symbol'
The Red Cross symbol - the reversal of the colours on the Swiss national flag - was adopted in 1863 when the organisation was set up to care for wounded soldiers.

The reversed Swiss flag was meant to signify neutralityMuslim countries objected to the use of the cross symbol, which is redolent of the Crusades in medieval times, and have used a crescent instead since the 19th Century.
But until now, members have baulked at introducing a third symbol - a situation exacerbated by international opposition to Israel and its post-1967 occupation of Arab lands.
The new symbol, a red square at an angle on a white background, can be used by any relief teams in areas where there is sensitivity about Christian or Muslim symbols.
Israelis, including military medics, will be able to use the crystal by itself on a white flag. On their own territory - or with the agreement other states participating in UN operations abroad - they will be able to combine it with the star of David.
Under the Geneva conventions relief workers and ambulances bearing Red Cross-authorised symbols are protected under international law and must be granted free access to people in need of help.
In the past, RC officials have argued that having too many emblems could compromise their protection.

Mad jihadists to be set free?

After much criticism, endless suffering few 'minor' deaths or perhaps as Rear Adm Harris said with regards to the recent deaths of the three detaines he did not believe the men had killed themselves out of despair.
"They are smart. They are creative, they are committed," he said, quoted by Reuters.
"They have no regard for life, either ours or their own. I believe this was not an act of desperation, but an act of asymmetrical warfare waged against us."

Time for the blood thirsty. eccentric Jihadi fighters to be set free?

The US 'wants to end Guantanamo'

Hunger strikes at the camp have flared periodically since 2002US President George W Bush has said he likes to close the US prison camp at Guantanamo Bay and send many detainees back to their home countries.
However, he said not all the inmates would be sent back - some would need to be put on trial in the US because they were "cold-blooded killers".
The comments came after talks with EU leaders at a one-day summit in Vienna.
Washington has faced mounting pressure over the camp that currently has about 400 detainees, mostly without charge.
Leaders at the summit also focused on other issues:
Mr Bush urges Iran to respond within "weeks, not months" on an international package of incentives to get Tehran to halt its enrichment programme
He warns North Korea against testing a long-range missile believed to be capable of reaching the US, saying it must abide by international agreements
The two sides pledge to push for a world trade agreement that would benefit poorer nations
Releases and trials
Mr Bush said he understood European concerns over the US detention camp in Cuba.
"I'd like to end Guantanamo. I'd like it to be over with," he said.
But he added that there were some detainees "who need to be tried in US courts".

The US has faced mounting criticism over the camp
"They will murder somebody if they are let out on the street."
The BBC News website's world affairs correspondent Paul Reynolds says President Bush's remarks were significant because he revealed more than he has before on how he might bring the camp to a close.
Criticism to close Guantanamo has increased following the first apparent suicides by prisoners earlier this month.
Lawyers say the three men who are said to have hanged themselves had been driven by despair.
Dozens of prisoners have been released without charge, but others have been held for up to three years without being charged or facing trial.
At present only 10 inmates face trial by military tribunal and the US Supreme Court is to rule by the end of June on the legality of the tribunals.
European leaders and human rights groups have said procedures at Guantanamo Bay violate the rule of law and undermine the fight against terrorism.
The Bush administration has denied allegations of abuse at Guantanamo, and the military says it provides safe, humane care and custody of the detainees

Dore Gold

Ties between al Qaeda and Hamas in Mideast are long and frequent It shouldn't be any surprise that the two groups share ideology

The ideological compatibility of Hamas with other jihadi movements in the Middle East raises the question of whether the new Hamas government that is about to be sworn in could create in the West Bank and Gaza a new center for global terrorism.
Russia certainly doesn't think so, because President Vladimir Putin invited a Hamas delegation to Moscow. France has supported the Russian move. And in many diplomatic circles, even in Washington, the argument is being made that Hamas can be brought into a political process and moderated. This is clearly being raised by individuals who have no idea what Hamas truly represents and why Israel has cut off all financial support to the new Palestinian government even before it is formally set up.
True, unlike al Qaeda, Hamas until now has not been involved in terrorist attacks against Western targets in the United States and Europe. It was left by those fostering the global jihad to focus its military efforts on Israel alone. Yet Hamas has maintained critical links with al Qaeda. And last week, Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas said he was concerned that al Qaeda had infiltrated the West Bank and Gaza.
Earlier evidence of links exists. In 2003, an Israeli ground unit in Gaza, seeking Hamas suspects, went into a school established by the founder of Hamas, Sheikh Ahmad Yassin. Written materials that Israeli soldiers collected revealed the writings of a famous Saudi Wahhabi religious authority, Sheikh Sulaiman al-Ulwan. His ideological entry into the world of Hamas immediately raised eyebrows. After all, his name was featured in a famous Osama bin Laden video clip from December 2001, when the al Qaeda leader entertained his entourage on camera by re-enacting with his hands the hijacked aircraft slamming into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11.
In that video, one Saudi messenger entered the scene at the end, telling bin Laden that he brought with him a "beautiful fatwa" from al-Ulwan, who had justified the mass murder of Americans. Now his ideas have penetrated the Palestinians as well. And his Islamic religious ruling justifying suicide bombing attacks appeared on the Hamas Web site along with those of other al Qaeda clerics.
Also, in 2003 and 2004, Israeli forces found Hamas posters that were distributed in West Bank cities that extolled the war being waged by Islamic militants in the Balkans, Chechnya and Kashmir. At the top was the portrait of Hamas leader Yassin alongside the portraits of bin Laden and Chechen militant leaders like Shamil Besayev, who took credit for the bloody attack on a Russian school in Beslan.
That Hamas and al Qaeda share some common ideological roots should not have come as any surprise. Hamas is an Arabic acronym for the Islamic Resistance Movement. Article Two of the Hamas Covenant reads, "The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the wings of Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine."
Throughout the Arab world, the Muslim Brotherhood is regarded as the common wellspring of all modern jihadi terrorism. Its spiritual leader, Sheikh Youssef al-Qaradawi, has been one of the pivotal figures in the globalization of the Danish cartoon rage as well as a supporter of fighting against U.S. forces in Iraq. Much of the al Qaeda leadership -- from bin Laden's mentor, Abdullah Azzam, to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of Sept. 11 -- started out with the Muslim Brotherhood.
Hamas and al Qaeda, as Muslim Brotherhood offshoots, have had a number of notable links.
Bin Laden sent emissaries to Hamas in September 2000 and January 2001; Israel arrested three Hamas militants in 2003 after they had returned from an al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan. Al Qaeda operations chief Abu Zubaydah entered the world of terrorism through Hamas. And according to a 2004 FBI affidavit, al Qaeda recruited Hamas members to conduct surveillance against potential targets in the United States.
Hamas poses a unique danger in the world of global terrorism, because besides its past ties to the Sunni Islamic extremism of al Qaeda, Hamas is now erecting a strategic partnership with Shiite Iran. For years, Iran has funded Hamas, but now that relationship is about to be seriously upgraded.
Khaled Mashaal, head of the Hamas political bureau, declared at a recent news conference in Tehran that "Iran's role in the future of Palestine should continue and increase." He is clearly prepared to open up Gaza to Iranian influence and serve Iranian national interests.
Just recently, the Iranian-backed Hezbollah moved one of its command centers from its base in Beirut to the heart of Gaza. So now both of the major Islamist terrorist organizations have established themselves in this Hamas-dominated territory.
Hamas is not the PLO of 1993 that lost its collapsing Soviet patron, and hence had to moderate its behavior in order to obtain Western diplomatic and financial support. The patrons of Hamas today are pushing it in a completely opposite direction. And so Mashaal spoke openly recently about the defeat of the United States in Iraq and his opposition to Western policies across the entire globe, from Darfur to East Timor.
As the struggle between the West and Iran over its nuclear program heats up, Hamas could become an important instrument for any countermeasures that Iran seeks to take. Rather than accommodate Hamas, the West should seek ways to contain its spread. Palestinian society will eventually seek another path, but in the interim, it would be a cardinal error to assume that Hamas is about to change.

Dore Gold is Israel's former ambassador to the United Nations and the author of "Hatred's Kingdom," which details the links of al Qaeda with Saudi Arabia.

Interesting how these articles are used as academic sources ;) one that i actually used for my essays apologetic? nah, the Muslim cant be asked to write pieces contrary so what choices have I got? ;)

The fall of the Ummah?

When you see nationalistic cast racism unfold, makes you think doesnt it like how is it possible to bring about unity of the Ummah?

Man jailed for murdering sister

Samaira Nazir had pleaded to be allowed to marry Mr MohammedA man has been found guilty of murdering his sister after she fell in love with an asylum seeker.
Greengrocer Azhar Nazir, 30, was convicted of murdering Samaira, 25, at the family's home in Southall, west London, in April 2005.
She was stabbed 18 times after asking to be allowed to marry an Afghan man - instead of marrying someone in the Pakistani family circle.
A 17-year-old has also been convicted of her murder.
Prosecutor Sally Howes QC told the trial Samaira fell in love with Salman Mohammed, who arrived in the UK in 2000 and befriended the family after making his way to their shop in Southall Broadway.
The two kept their relationship a secret, but things came to a head when Miss Nazir asked permission to marry Mr Mohammed, the court heard.
Her brother reacted angrily to the news and thought Mr Mohammed was only after the family money, Miss Howes said.
'We can get you'
He told Mr Mohammed on the phone : "We can get you anywhere if you get married, even if you are not in this country."
On the day of her death, the couple had tried to talk to Miss Nazir's mother about the problem at a relative's home - but she refused.
Miss Nazir went to the family home and neighbours heard cries for help.
One was so worried she knocked on the door. Nazir answered it and said his sister was having fits.
She was murdered in her own home where she bled to death following a horrific attack
Sally Howes QC, prosecuting
But as the neighbour returned home she heard Miss Nazir shout: "You are not my mother any more" and "help me, help me".
The front door opened again, but only a bloody left arm was visible as Miss Nazir appeared to be pulled back into the house by her hair.
As Nazir was led out of the house by a police officer, he said: "There had been a problem with my sister.
"She does not wish to have an arranged marriage. We only allow marriage within the family.
'Acted together'
"My sister wanted to run away from the house and was stopped."
Nazir later tried to blame the 17-year-old for the killing, the court heard.
Miss Howes told the court: "She was murdered in her own home where she bled to death following a horrific attack during which she was beaten and had multiple stab wounds.
"The defendants acted together by stabbing Samaira and holding on to her to prevent her escaping."
Both will be sentenced on 14 July

The Right Attitude

I have been doing a little research and perhaps a little of my own understanding in compiling what our 'Muslim organisations' need to grasp and take into account whilst being politically active...
I am looking more into lobby groups...this is essential in this day and age in fact we should have created lobby groups pre-hand when we started to face animosity and injustice with thorns on top in the hands of our anti Muslim counterparts!

Anyway here goes i will add more to this as my mind develops ;)
  • Keep Qur'an and Sunnah as foundation at all times, this is essential, this will help towards:

1) keeping you intact with your roots, and your root is Islam, with the help and sources of divine imperatives you will never cease to lose an argument in the face of your enemies

2) All too often organisations are created in the banner of Islam, but when asked for sources, evidences from non Muslims, or those playing devils advocate, I for one seen far too many get rather edgy so before the debate/discussion...starts we lose!

3) This is a blunt yet effective saying, without the source of noor of the law of Allah shaitan will be the source of darkness which will pollute your mind and soul! again to fight this the rememberance of Allah swt must always be embedded its been said in Al Qur'an: 'verily, in the rememberance of Allah do hearts find rest', 13:28

  • We need mature people.. to make intelligent conversations, we need individuals who are firm, articulate, have composure, headstrong, never back down in the face of your enemies! However! Appearing better than others is always dangerous, but most dangerous of all is to appear to have no faults or weaknesses. Envy creates silent enemies. It is smart to occasionally display defects, and admit to harmless vices, in order to deflect envy and appear more human and approachable. All too often i have seen organisation let off steam DONT!!!! display defect you will get more attention!!!
  • Conceal your Intentions, keep people off-balance and in the dark by never revealing the purpose behind your actions (those trying to eliminate Islam). If they have no clue what you are up to, they cannot prepare a defense. Guide them far enough down the wrong path, envelope them in enough smoke, and by the time they realize your intentions, it will be too late, we Muslim become defensive and retaliate all too quickly when faced by hardship and give away everything to the enemy!!! big mistake play the victim keep your intentions secret because any momentary triumph you think gained through argument is really a Pyrrhic victory: The resentment and ill will you stir up is stronger and lasts longer than any momentary change of opinion. It is much more powerful to get others to agree with you through your actions, without saying a word. Demonstrate, do not explicate
  • Forge important alliances with Muslim businesses and/or people sympathetic with Muslim causes, this is a must look at the over lords!!!! Look back to the time of the Pprophet pbuh, during the establishment in Medina alliances were made and sought with not just Muslims but non Muslims. Conserve your forces and energies by keeping them concentrated at their strongest point. You gain more by finding a rich mine and mining it deeper, than by flitting from one shallow mine to another – intensity defeats extensity every time. When looking for sources of power to elevate you, find the one key patron, the fat cow who will give you milk for a long time to come!!!

Remember one Ayah from Al Qur'an 'O you who believe! Have patience and contend in patience, be vigilant and informed, and fear Allah, so that you may be successful.' (3:190,200)

ill add more in time.... ;)

"Experience is the best teacher."

A man who cannot speak english....BARELY! a man who appeared on Panaroma few months back got slated by a hardcore zionist. Now why are such individuals chosen to represent the Muslims? maybe because they are easy to shut up? hmmmm!!!!

Muslim council picks new leader

Dr Bari has been the deputy secretary of the MCB for four yearsThe Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) has elected Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari as its new general secretary at its annual meeting in London.
He was chosen from a field of 37 candidates to succeed Sir Iqbal Sacranie, the post holder since 2002.
Dr Bari, a 52-year-old Bangladeshi, is a specialist teacher in behaviour support for Tower Hamlets Council.
A central working committee will also be elected, as well as deputy general secretary and treasurer, for 2006-08.
Delegates from all the major MCB national and regional bodies are attending the meetings, as well as representatives from mosques and Islamic centres.
Dr Bari told the BBC he faced many challenges in the role.
"One of which is the deprivation, the social alienation of the whole community," he said.
"Also the elements of extremism and radicalism in a tiny section of the community. And of course the wider society - islamophobia, racism, xenophobia."
Influential voice
Iqbal Sacranie was knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours in summer 2005.
He was involved in a variety of groups which culminated in the formation of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) in 1997, an umbrella body drawing support from hundreds of affiliates.
During his time at the helm he has been an influential voice for Muslims within 10 Downing Street and at the Home Office.
Within his own community, however, he has faced challenges to his authority over the organisation's approach to the war in Iraq, its ability to speak for younger generations and its closeness to Whitehall.

The defining characteristic of a democracy is that it is a rule by law, not by the ppl while da despots n da oligarchs rule by suspecion n armd police

Are we going to allow the oligarchs to rule us? and are we going to use them so called sheikhs to pass fatwas and stop us from making a change?
lets look at the need to make a change perhaps the halal way?

shaykh haytham al haddad clarifies that if muslims were to advocate and help establish a system in which people are free to legislate against islam, then this would certainly be an act of kuffr, for Allah says 'legislation is for none but Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but him (12:41)

and whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the kafirun (5:44)

BUT partcipation or voting in the electoral process not tantamount to legislate against islam.Dr azzam tamimi says 'those who treat the questions of democracy or power sharing as matters of aqidah (faith) usually HAVE NO SPECIALISED OR ADEQUATE KNOWLEDGE IN THE HUMANITIES, AND ARE INDOCTRINATED WITH SOME SHALLOW ISLMAIC LITERATURE. they tend to define things with extereme simplicity'. FOR INSTANCE THEY UNDERSTAND ISLAMIC GVT TO MEAN 'GOD'S RULE AND 'DEMOCRACY PEOPLES RULE'

NOT ONLY ARE ISSUES OF POLITICS TOO COMPLEX TO BE SIMPLIFIED IN THIS MANNER, BUT THE CONCEPTION OF GOD'S RULE IS TOTALLY MISUNDERSTOOD

SAHIB MUSTAQIM BLEHER (formerly of the islamic party of britain) ASSERTS THAT THE BELIEF THAT POLTIICS AMOUNTS TO KUFR IS IN ITSELF A WRONG ASSUMPTION, BECAUSE IT ASSUMES THAT PARLIAMENT IS THE ACTUAL POWER BASE OF MODERN SOCIETY. IN REALITY ' PARLIAMENT IS ONLY A STAGE MANAGED DEBATING CHAMBER RATIFYING WHAT HAS BEEN DECIDED ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

our situation in britain today is quite different. the dominant political system has been derived by the majority over decades. i nthis system we are faced with two choices SINCE WE LIVE HERE AND IS ONE OF THE GRASSROOT COUNTRIES WHICH MOULD OUR ISLAMIC STATES! either to vote for one of anumber of candidates/parties or not to vote at all. in such circumstances it is necessary for the Muslim ummah to work to SAFEGUARD ITSELF FROM HARM AND TO SECURE ITS INTERESTS, KNOWN AS MASLAHA (PUBLIC INTEREST) WHICH DATES BACK TO MALIKI SCHOOL OF THOUGH, LATER DEVELOPED BY IMAM SHAFI'I

The great Andalusian scholar Imam Al Shatibi (d:790/1388) developed the maslaha even further into the doctrine of maqasid al shari'a (objectives of the shari'ah) which the ulama turn to when dealing with the extendibility of Islamic law to changing circumstances.it provides a general framework for muslims, to tackle their respective problems in changing conditions, which is in conformity with the Qur'an i.e. Allah does not wish hardship on his servants (2:173, 21:107, 5:6, 2:179, 2:233)

Al Qardawi reiterates that all that which the Qur'an and the traditions of the prophet pbuh is, per se, in oaccordance with human interest at large.

in matter of elections and voting we must look at what is in the best interest of the whole ummah (maslaha) and what is lesser of two evils

shaykh Salman al Audah, a reform critic of saudi state.

'PARTICIPATION IN THE POLITICAL PROCESS CAN BE A VEHICLE TO 'REDUCING SUFFERING' OF MUSLIMS.'

PARTCIPATING , WILL REDUCE EVIL AND BE A FORUM FOR COUNTERING BAD POLICIES AND EXPOSING THEIR DEFICIENCES, AS WELL AS BEING AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT PROPOSALS OF A DIFFERENT KIND THAT MAY HELP PEOPLE'

and why do i live here there is no nation where sharia is practised fully, why? because grassroot probs stem from here!

AND

SUPPOSE YOU HAVE TWO CANDIDATES, IT MAY BE THAT BOTH OF THEMARE UNSYMPATHETIC TO MUSLIM CAUSES. HOWEVER, ONE OF THEM MAY BE MORE DETRIMENTAL TO MUSLIM INTERETS THAT THE OTHER. IF THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY WRE TO COLLECTIVELY ABSTAIN FROM VOTING (PARTCIPATING IN DEMOCRACY) THEN THE CANDIDATE MORE DETRIMENTAL TO MUSLIM INTERESTS MIGHT WIN AND PURSUE POLICIES SUCH AS CLOSING DOWN MOSQUES, ISLAMIC SCHOOLS...IN SUCH SITUATION THE RULE OF SHARI'AH STIPULATES THAT IT IS OBLIGATORY FOR MUSLIMS TO VOTE FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS! MERELY SITTING ON THE SIDELINES CRITICISING WHILE DOING NOTHING! ABOUT IT IS CONTRARY TO THE SHARI'AH!!!!!!

AS MUSLIMS WE ALSO HAVE A DUTY TO WIDER SOCIETY. WORKING FOR EVERYONE'S WELFARE THROUGH CIVIC PARTICIPATION AND ELECTORAL POLTICS SERVES OUR ISLAMIC DUTY TO SEEK THE COMMON GOOD, AND ENJOIN GOOD!

at times voting (democracy) partcipation becomes necessary substantiating this point with hadith in which nabi karim swa said, 'IF PEOPLE SEE AN OPPRESSOR AND DONT PREVENT HIM, THEN IT IS VERY LIKELY THAT ALLAH WILL INCLUDE ALL OF THEM IN THE PUNISHMENT' (TIRMIDHI, DAWUD)

THEREFORE IF YOU SEE AN OPEN OPPRESSION AND TRANSGRESSION, AND DESPITE HAVING THE CAPABILITY OF PREVENTING THIS OPPRESSION BY GIVING YOUR VOTE (DEMOCRACY) YOU DONT DO SO! THEN IN THE LIGHT OF THIS HADITH YOU WILL EB SINFUL!

May Allah swt facilitate this Ummah! Ameen!

AND ALLAH SWT HAS WAKE UP!

“Princes and governments are far more dangerous than other elements within society.”

Now tell me is this the work of the prince or is it that of the government?

Man shot in anti-terrorism raid

Police have cordoned off three roads in the area
Residents' reactions A 23-year-old man has been shot by police during a house raid involving 250 officers carried out early on Friday under the Terrorism Act.
The man, who was later arrested, was taken to hospital after the search in Forest Gate, east London. His injuries are not life-threatening.
A 20-year-old man is also being held at a central London police station.
A single shot was fired, according to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which will investigate.
The operation was not linked to the London bombings of July 2005, police have said.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke, head of the Met's anti-terror branch, said the operation was planned in response to "specific intelligence".
"Because of the very specific nature of the intelligence we planned an operation that was designed to mitigate any threat to the public either from firearms or from hazardous substances," he said.
He said the purpose of the raid was to prove or disprove intelligence they had received.

Profile: The IPCC
BBC home affairs correspondent Daniel Sandford described it as the most significant anti-terror operation this year.
The 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism as he was being treated at the Royal London hospital.
The 20-year-old man was being questioned at Paddington Green police station.
Police officers in protective clothing have moved into the terraced house in Lansdown Road in what is being described as a "precautionary measure".
The search of the premises is expected to take several days.
A white and yellow tent has been set up outside the property, while workmen are erecting a two-storey high scaffolding screen around the building.
Several people in the house at the time of the raid have been moved to other premises. They have not been arrested.

Lansdown Road, and neighbouring Rothsay Road and Prestbury Road, are all closed.
A 14-year-old boy Nimesh Patel, who saw the raid, said police broke in through a window, and then opened the front door.
He said the person shot appeared to have a shoulder injury.
Another witness said he had seen a man wearing a bloodstained T-shirt being carried out of the house after the raid.
Meanwhile, a group of around 20 Asian men have gathered outside the gates of the Royal London hospital to protest at what they believe was heavy handed treatment by the police in the raid.
Surveillance
BBC home affairs correspondent Danny Shaw said the raids follow an investigation into international terrorism targeting the UK.
Security sources have described the Forest Gate raid as "potentially significant" and said it followed months of surveillance.

One eyewitness said officers smashed a window to gain accessThe raid followed discussions between MI5, the Met's anti-terrorist branch and the Health Protection Agency - which advised on the potential health risks of the raid.
The IPCC, in a statement, said it would use its own investigators to "examine the circumstances surrounding the discharge of a police firearm".
Deborah Glass, IPCC commissioner, said: "The incident was referred to the IPCC immediately and investigators were deployed to the scene.
"An examination of the officers' firearms confirms that a single shot was discharged in circumstances that are currently under investigation."
The Civil Aviation Authority says an air exclusion zone has been set up over east London and will be in place for four days.
Aircraft are banned from flying over the site below 2,500ft.
Mixed community
Residents said Forest Gate was a typical east London "mixed" community with a large number of Bengali and Pakistani families, along with a recent influx of Eastern Europeans.
One neighbour said the operation early this morning had involved "the most police I've seen in my life".
Another neighbour said a family lived at the address.
"They were respectable and nice people and we do not know anything else. They have always been nice to us," she said.
"They have lived there for a long time. The kids all go to school locally."

THIS IS NOT THE WORK OF ANY PRINCE, GOVERNMENT, OR AS MOST COMMONLY BLAMED THE 'ZIONISTS'!!!!

it is in actual fact our deficiency, if anyone gets angry at the government SHUT UP AND GO HAVE A COLD SHOWER!

Why should anyone of us be looked down on? why should anyone of us be pitied?

This is nothing but the act of great power using all at their disposal on the subordiantes, this is pre Islamic Arabia prevalent fat Arab shaikhs using their money and wealth to weaken those without it or do not have the brain cells to use their intelligence effectively!
Now its not the fat Arab shaikhs who are all imposing, rather they are the fit, handsome, academics, spin doctors, leaders, bureaucratic...nincompoops!

DONT THE MUSLIMS HAVE ANYTHING AT DISPOSAL TO COUNTER THIS EVIL TENDENCY???????????????????????

“There is no surer sign of decay in a country than to see the rites of religion held in contempt”

Assalamu Alaikum,

The purpose of this blog, was not to have a lark, nor a start of a time pass...rather this blog has been created in hope to awaken the hearts and minds of the Muslim Ummah to indulge in activeness in all aspects of this duniyah (world) from politics, to spirituality.

I am a political activist, by nature and neccessity. I want to see this ummah to flourish from media to welfare! iwant this ummah to flourish under the banner of ISLAM! i want this Ummah to live side by side in peace, i want this ummah to wake up and see to the disharmony the brothers and sisters are suffering not just in the obvious nations...but within those territories most unlikely, but cunningly enough witness Islamphobia and its like.

WHY ARENT THE UMMAH FIGHTING AGAINST THE FACES OF EVIL?

maybe we can highlight few sources to wake those disenchanted hearts and minds? INSHALLAH!

Walaikum Assalam
